The competitive dancers here at Artistic Edge Dance Academy have impressed the adjudicators at all the competitions this year!

The 2010 competitive season has come to an end. This has been the most successful year to date! Some of the comments made by the adjudicators have been: Great Energy! Cool Choreography! Fun Numbers! Nicely Trained Technical Dancers All well deserved!

Jennifer was awarded a one week scholorship to a dance camp in Jasper Alberta this summer from Dream team and Angella was awarded most outstanding dancer at Shine!

Boom Boom Pow, a junior hiphop group and Body Language, a senior jazz group performed at the No Borders Challenge. Gravity, a senior lyrical group placed in the top 10 at Dream Team and danced at the Crystal Challenge. Jailhouse Rock, a junior jazz group placed 2nd at the Dance Power Championships.

Our choreographers were awarded for their outstanding choreography and many of our dancers were recognized and awarded scholorships!

  Ease on Down the Road (company class) has received special recognition by a board member of the Surrey Dance Festival.

She loved the routine so much she has asked the dancer s to perform in two shows on April 26th, 2008 at the Earl Marriot Theatre. Good Work Dancers!









  In 2009 our talented dancers won an impressive amount of monetary awards this year for their overall high scoring routines an d choreography awards! Some competitive dancers entered their solos at CDTA Provincials this year for the first time. The competition is only for soloists and is divided into three categories, Junior (8- 12yrs) Intermediate (13-15yrs) and Senior (16-18yrs). I received wonderful feedback from the co-ordinators of the competition. They were so impressed with the talent our studio brought to the provincial competition! Angella Slaunwhite was chosen as the Provincial Representative who will go to Mississauga, Ontario in July, 2009 to compete her jazz solo at the Canadian Nationals!
