CARRIE COULTERCARRIE COULTER, RAD RTS, PBT Cert. Carrie has over 40 years of dance training and teaching experience, both locally and internationally. She specializes in the Graded Syllabi of the Royal Academy of Dance and graduated from the Academy’s 3-year Teaching Program, attaining R.A.D. Registered Teacher Status in 2001. Carrie continually pursues Professional Development courses provided by the R.A.D. and has obtained certification in the Progressing Ballet Technique. She is passionate about giving her students a strong technical foundation and instilling them with a love of this beautiful art. Carrie trained in the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus under the instruction of the legendary Betty Farrally, co-founder of Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet Company at the Canadian School of Ballet in Vernon, BC, and Deborah Banks, ARAD, director of the Okanagan School of Ballet (formerly the Canadian School of Ballet). Her teacher’s training took place in Hong Kong under the mentorship of Joan Campbell MBE ARAD, retired RAD Examiner and pioneer of the RAD syllabus in Hong Kong. Her teaching career saw her as Head of Junior Divisions and member of the ballet faculty at several local studios, 4 years teaching in Hong Kong, and had founded a ballet program, providing training to expat and local children, while living in Lagos, Nigeria. She is thrilled to join the faculty at Artistic Edge Dance Academy and looks forward to sharing her knowledge with its students
